He earned a Master’s degree in Post Secondary Education from Salisbury University in 2008 and later advanced his credentials with a second Master’s in Applied Clinical Nutrition from New York Chiropractic College in 2018. Frank graduated from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. Currently, he is pursuing a Doctor of Physical Therapy at DeSales University. Exercise plays a significant role in Frank’s life and is viewed as one of the foundational elements of a balanced and healthy lifestyle. He believes that individuals of all ages and backgrounds can benefit from regular physical activity. When working with clients, Frank takes a holistic approach-considering the full scope of each person’s needs to set them up for success and help them achieve their goals. Clients receive evidence-based training grounded in biomechanics, exercise science, and physiology. Whether the objective is enhancing sports performance, increasing strength, achieving weight loss, or improving overall health, Frank is committed to guiding each client on their journey to success.
Dr. John Guers brings over 15 years of experience in academia and athletic performance. Throughout his career, he has worked with individuals at all levels to help them achieve their fitness and performance-oriented goals. His experience spans youth athletes, high school competitors, and NCAA Division I, II, and III collegiate athletes across a wide range of sports. Dr. Guers specializes in one-on-one training and sport-specific team programming. Drawing from years of powerlifting experience, he excels in teaching foundational compound movements such as squats and deadlifts, essential for building strength and athletic performance. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Exercise Science, as well as a Ph.D. in Applied Physiology with a research focus on cardiovascular health. As an assistant professor in Exercise Physiology, Dr. Guers has published 18 peer-reviewed research articles and has mentored more than 20 students in his performance testing laboratory. Dr. Guers is highly skilled in performance-based assessments, including VO2max testing, which he routinely conducts with collegiate students and student-athletes. Years of data collection and analysis have given him deep insight into the performance metrics that matter most for specific sports and physical activities. In addition to his academic and research background, Dr. Guers has over a decade of youth coaching experience. With advanced education, extensive coaching expertise, and a passion for athlete development, he is uniquely qualified to help you reach your fitness and performance goals.
